The forecast for Tropical Storm Katrina continues to be sunny and sunny.
The latest update from the National Hurricane Center puts it at a Category 1 storm and a Category 2 storm, with sustained winds of 75 mph.
Katrina is forecast to move westward over the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday and Wednesday.
As the storm moves into the Gulf, it is expected to bring heavy rainfall and flash flooding to the Carolinas.
The hurricane will pass through New Orleans on Thursday, bringing heavy rains, damaging winds and flash floods to the region.
The storm is forecast by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to track to the north of the Carolins Gulf Coast and to weaken over the next few days.
The NHC says it is not a hurricane and has no center.
